Aims and Scope

The Journal of Research and Review in Science (JRRS) is a peer-reviewed, open-access multidisciplinary journal published by the Faculty of Science, Lagos State University (LASU). We aim to publish high-quality research and review articles across all disciplines of fundamental and applied sciences.

Our scope covers but is not limited to: Biological Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Physical Sciences, Mathematical and Computer Sciences, Environmental Sciences, and Earth Sciences.

We provide a credible platform for researchers, academicians, and students to share knowledge in the form of high-quality empirical and theoretical research papers that contribute significantly to the global scientific community.

Peer Review Process

JRRS employs a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and integrity of all published articles. In this process, the identities of both the authors and the reviewers are concealed from each other.

Every submitted manuscript is initially evaluated by the Editorial Board for scope, formatting compliance, and the mandatory 15% plagiarism threshold. Papers that pass this initial screening are sent to at least two independent expert reviewers.

Reviewers evaluate the manuscripts based on originality, methodology, clarity of presentation, and contribution to the field. Final publication decisions rest with the Editor-in-Chief based on the reviewers' recommendations and editorial priorities.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Users are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author, in accordance with the BOAI definition of open access. All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license.
